A rollercoaster of a game, with Havant scoring twice in the first half, a well taken goal by Phoebe into an empty net after Megan passed the ball around the keeper. Megan then got her own reward with a goal 15 minutes later. Haslemere got back into the game with a well worked penalty corner just before the half time whistle.

Second half saw Haslemere take control of the game, scoring in the 44th and 47th minute to take the lead. Havant lifted their heads, played much better controlled team hockey and were rewarded by an excellent strike from Ella on 53 minutes, to level the game, followed up with a well placed Penalty Corner flick from Lara 4 minutes later to take a deserved lead. Haslemere pushed for the equaliser, though the Havant girls were too strong in posession, finishing on top with composed game managment and discipline. Tough game to start the cup run, with an brilliant team perfromance and amazing result.
